Case Study : Mascot Logo for Squadron's Grill & Cigar Lounge

Introduction :

Squadron's Grill & Cigar Lounge is a startup restaurant based in Pensacola Florida. They reached out to Asent Designs to bring the owner's vision for an illustration style mascot logo to life. Their location is intended to be in an area that has a strong military prensence and the owner requested that we design a logo with a strong resemblance to a military squadron patch to appeal to the unique demographic of the local area.

During our initial consultation with the client, they laid out very specific elements that were required to be included in the final design. It needed to have a military theme, it needed to look like a squadron patch, it needed to look like a grill that was smoking a cigar, it needed to have teeth showing like an old fighter jet, and it needed to include the business's name in a bold font that would be easy to read.

Options :

After our initial consultation with Chames Financial, our designers crafted four distinct and exclusive logo choices for their consideration.

The entire design process was completed in under 48 hours, ensuring a swift turnaround to meet the client's needs.

We applied our six step design philosophy in the creation of the logo for this brand.

We asked the client to share image samples of the "musthave" features that our custom illustration logo had to have.
The Green Egg

What should the grill look like?

With so many grill designs in the market, our designers needed some clarity on exactly what style of grill the client had in mind for the illustration style logo.

The client privided this image for our reference.

What should the grill look like?

The client shared this image of a grill with the lid open to illustrate the manner in which the grill's "mouth" should be open in the mascot logo design

Can you please share some examples of what the teeth on the grill should look like?

Another non-negotiable design element was a requirement for the logo we created to include exposed teeth on the grill with a cigar coming out of the caricature's mouth.

The exposed teeth needed to look aggressive and reflect a military style and flair.

The client shared this image to give us a better understaning of the direction he wanted our design team to take.

Rough Draft

Armed with specific guidance and example images from the client, our graphic artist began to hand draw the rough draft of what would become the new logo for Squadron's Grill & Cigar Lounge.

We were careful to integrate the most important features that the client requested in a manner that was unique, and engaging.

Final Design

The gritty looking illustration of the mascot grill, with a cigar in teeth, truly embodies the brand's goal to resonate with and address the significant military community in the Pensacola area. It's a place where social events like military promotions, retirement parties, and group fight-night watch-parties can come alive.

Our commitment to quality extends to every service we provide. All our logos are released in formats that guarantee 100% lossless resolution. Rest assured that your logo will maintain crystal-clear clarity, regardless of how large or small you adjust its size.
